Hello guys,
here's a testimony :D hope you guys enjoy and are challenged by it yeah.
initially, I planned to pledge a "safe" amount to God. It was not really a faith amount and it was something that i knew i could complete in ease. But well, like what Pastor Kong shared, the amount you pledge, gotta be an amount that touches your heart, as well as God's. So on Arise and Build pledging weekend, i took a step of faith to pledge an amount that was double of my previous plan. And at that time, i really prayed that i will be able to find a good job that would give me the finances to clear my building fund.
so, wayne and i went out to find a job after cg today at vivocity. and we came upon a restaurant which was very keen to hire us on first impression, right after we complete the application form. wayne and i laid hands on the application forms and prayed a simple prayer for favour and good pay and indeed, God is faithful and answered our prayers! we were offered the job and is paid an hourly rate of $6.50, which is considered not bad.
thank God for all His blessings. Actually, God has already started blessing me even before i pledged for the building fund. my mum agreed to let me go for water baptism after 4 years of asking, and she is as excited as me for it! moreover, my sister blessed me with extra pocket money, and is going to buy great christmas presents for me, haha. also, my results improved once more this term, even in the midst of exams, and serving the Lord, He is able to bless me with good results even though i spent fewer hours studying as compared to some of my classmates.
indeed, God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all that we can ask or imagine. so this Arise & Build, let's believe that God WILL bring to us blessings that our storehouses can't contain, amen?
